HA! Postal Service...
Back in my day, we had homing pigeons no fancy Postal Service, and if the pigeons died on the way we had to hunt down its dead carcass to retrieve the letter - not like you paper-wasting children of today.

In general I don't like ORPGs...Guild Wars is the only one i've had any interest in.

We rolled a twenty sided die ... and then we wrote down our result ... AND MAILED IT TO OUR FRIENDS ACROSS THE COUNTRY ... one round of combat took SIX WEEKS to play! And we liked it!
Damned kids today with thier Goonies are good enough ... with the Cyndi Lauper hopping all about with Cap'n Lou ...

Heh, speaking of dice, THIS is the coolest shirt ever for us dice rollers

"When my crew hits a subterranean crypt, we don't take twenty, even if we have ample time to complete the task and are not harried by opponents. We roll twenty. And we roll it every time. "
The TRUE HARDCORE!
And no Algren, I'm not calling you old. I just said the movie was old. I'm sure you saw it on DVD ten years later

I pity you, for you have missed out on a great many movies which had poor SFX, but rocked anyway

Oh please, I own no less than four versions of the Star Wars movies, two versions of the Indiana Jones movies (I am George Lucas' bitch...), and I can actually SING the title song to Flash Gordon
Just because I didn't see the Goonies (I played the freaking C64 game though...), doesn't mean I'm not old!

In my day, I remember when I blew up one of the First Atari VCS to be released in the UK, because it couldn't handle me clocking Asteroids over and over.
What fun that was. LOL

Back in my day they had these Gems that were not rare crafting items.
These gems contained Skills by golly.
Why you could even test if you liked them before you took them permanently.
There was this game all us kids used to play at the arcade called Pong. Now there was a game that took skill.

Heh, all you young kids and your teenage years. Pshaw! Back in MY day, we didn't even HAVE teenage years! We went straight from 12 to 42, no stops in between! And you know somethin else? Back in my day, we didn't have Pong, or even Ping, or even Ping Pong! We wanted to play with a little plastic ball, we had to whack it back and forth with our hands! And that little plastic ball wasn't made of plastic, it was made of brick, which back then we called a cow, and we had to get amputations once a week to be able to play again! Psh...you kids and your...ooh, shhh, Andy Griffith is on!
On another note, any bets on when this thread will be moved to the off-topic/absurd forum? From start to finish, it definitely fits both definitions.

What?! The Goonies isn't that old, geez. It came out in 1985 (I think!), which is only twenty years. Which, if you think about how long some other movies have been out and are still kicking around, isn't that long! Pssh!
